Let's Meet Gbenga Briefly
My name is Gbenga Adesoji, and I am an AWS Certified Solutions Architect with over 12 years providing innovative IT Solutions, Quality Assurance and Safety solutions to predominantly the aviation industry.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of wearing different hats like Son, Student, Engineer, Husband, & Father. I particularly enjoy wearing the father hat.
A fun fact about me is that I’ve always been a tinkerer; I built my first I propeller plane prototype by 14 years old and built my first website in 2006 - it was my first paid software gig. So, I am always eager to learn new technologies, the science behind them, and how they impact our lives.
I love cooking (being a certified chef is on my bucket list), writing, travelling, meeting people, and exploring new cultures (I have visited over 15 countries on 5 continents, and I am still taking recommendations).
Professionally, I am a dedicated technical leader with a track record of surpassing targets, and always willing to go the extra mile. I am a detail-oriented engineer, a collaborative team-player and a competent communicator that provides value added solution to complex business problems. I am a quick learner who enjoys learning new things and sharing my learning and insights with my team.
Moreover, I am a Quality Assurance (QA) Director with 10 years’ experience in the aviation industry; championing IT solutions deployments and safety systems assessment and deployments across my organization. My area of specialty includes the following
- IT Solutions.
- Airworthiness.
- Compliance Monitoring & Enforcement.
- Safety Management System.
In each of these roles, I have led cross-functional teams to build viable solutions to boost user experience at leading African Airlines.
Recently, I have resumed my passion for provisioning technical solutions by pursuing my dream of being a Solutions Architect with the AWS Academy. I have enjoyed every bit of this journey from the study session and the numerous lab sessions I have broken. At the moment, I am 2X AWS certified, and I currently a mentor in the AWS Academy, guiding and supporting other members of our community.
